NetWorthIQ
I don’t really get the point, but it’s a site to calculate your net worth. All it does is ask for numbers and add them together, though. It seems the main purpose is for rich people to see how much richer they are than other people who have accounts on

My LV-673 Mini-Itx Arrived!

Wednesday, December 14th, 2005

I just got a package delivered, and it was my Commell LV-673, a day early! Not too much time to comment on it now, and I won’t get to test it out until the rest of the components arrive from NewEgg on Friday, but here’s a few quick pics of the spread.

Further LM170E01 Updates

Tuesday, December 13th, 2005

I further disassembled the LM170E01 panel last night, and got more data on the inverter. I was initially a bit surprised to see that it has a 10-pin input, with 4 yellow, 4 black, 1 blue, 1 brown wires. The yellow and black are obviously the hot & ground pairs that go to […]

Tuesday, December 13th, 2005

I may have gotten drunk and stopped taking pictures pretty early on, but I still managed to get a handful for anybody who either missed it or wants to relive the glory. Here’s the full gallery for you, plus a few of my favorites:

Megaphone Helmet & Great DIY Site

Monday, December 12th, 2005

I’ve just discovered a really cool site called Instructables. In just 10 minutes of cruising around, I’ve already found a few fascinating DIY projects, including an integrated Megaphone and Helmet with audio-in for an mp3 player, which is exactly what I was wishing I had for the PlunderDome.

LM170E01 Pics

Friday, December 9th, 2005

I took apart the LM170E01 a bit more last night, here’s some shots of the guts. I’ll take of the metal backing soon, so I can really get at the inverter to check the serial number and pinouts.

Organic Computing

Friday, December 9th, 2005

Two freaking amazing links today, epressing a mix of natural and synthetic. Really makes me wish I didn’t have to go home to a big black metal box (despite my cool retro dials on the front).
First, the Sangaku Japanese Case Mod from extremetech.com. The stained and polished wood is a nice departure from […]

Blowfly Flying Alarm Clock

Thursday, December 8th, 2005

I desperately need one of these! Sure, the battery probably dies after 5 minutes which is often not enough time to wake me up, but then it would fall on my face which would be even more effective!

LM170E01 Arrived Last Night

Thursday, December 8th, 2005

My LM170E01 panel was waiting for me on the porch when I got home today. I was initially shocked by the heft of the box, and the weight on the shipping label of 9 lbs. I was further surprised when I opened it up at just how huge it is. But upon […]
