Dremel Dremel Dremel Dremel
I went to the hardware store last night, and walked out with a brand new Dremel and 24′ of aluminum L-struts. Tonight, I’ll cut it up and start fabricating the frame for the homebrew laptop case.
I think I can fit it all into a 3″ deep case if I do a little trickery. I need about 2.5″ for the cpu fan, but it can be in the back behind the keyboard, where it can poke above. I’ll either do a step up in the back to accomodate, or have the lid angled from 1″ deep in front to 0.5″ deep in back.
I looked at plexiglass and they’ve got some good looking stuff for pretty cheap. Although I’m starting to think about aluminum sheeting as well, now. Maybe I’ll use plexi for the sides and interior and aluminum for the top and bottom panels.
