Further LM170E01 Updates
I further disassembled the LM170E01 panel last night, and got more data on the inverter. I was initially a bit surprised to see that it has a 10-pin input, with 4 yellow, 4 black, 1 blue, 1 brown wires. The yellow and black are obviously the hot & ground pairs that go to the 4 lamps, but I had no clue about the other two.
After fruitlessly searching for hours online, I finally gave up and sent an email to a random address on the Darfon web site. Shockingly, they replied 15 minutes later with the full Darfon V01316500104 Inverter Specifications attached! It appears the other 2 wires are an on/off toggle and a brightness controller. So all I need to do is hook up a controller board with an toggle switch and a variable resistor so I can just control it all with hardware (I can even hook the toggle switch up to depend on the case being open or closed).
