Two freaking amazing links today, epressing a mix of natural and synthetic. Really makes me wish I didn’t have to go home to a big black metal box (despite my cool retro dials on the front).

First, the Sangaku Japanese Case Mod from extremetech.com. The stained and polished wood is a nice departure from the usual dremel and plastic. They event went the distance with sliding doors and a watercolor bamboo scene. I bow humbly before their case-fu.

Second, and slightly more practical is the Live Keyboard. I don’t think he’s actually doing any typing on this thing, but as an artistic expression it’s pretty cool. I’ve always loved the way green can shoot up from beneath sidewalks with enough force to actually break the concrete, and here we see that even the humble bean sprout can take on the mightiest of numeric keypads.
